Research has shown that music can do more for oneself than putting one in a good mood.

Investigation has proven that music is of health benefits. An Austrian research has found that listening to music can help patients with chronic back pain. This is possible because music works on the autonomic nervous system responsible for controlling the blood pressure, heartbeat and brain function and also the lim box system that controls feelings and emotions.

Clinical psychologist Franz Wendtner said that listening to slow music for about 25 minutes everyday for at least ten days can help prevent back pain and make one sleep.
